Black Horse Golf Course in Cypress TX
Following a costly $13 million refurbishment, the Black Horse Golf Course has undergone impressive upgrades and can now be favorably compared with its well-known sister course, Bayonet. Historically, Black Horse was viewed as the less challenging of the two courses, but the recent improvements and extension, skillfully executed by architect Gene Bates, have transformed it into a more demanding course. While the bunkers of Black Horse may be more lenient than those found on Bayonet, the greens are now more undulating and technically challenging. Both courses offer breathtaking views, with neatly trimmed trees and a more polished overall appearance, thanks to the employment of the latest bent grass turf from tee to green.
